Counts differ because each database indexes a different set of publications. We treat OpenAlex as the canonical count; Google Scholar is not shown (no API, and crawling it violates its ToS).
This paper responds to Anthropic's September 29, 2026 “What Do You Want From AI?” public consultation from the perspective of the Generative Agency Protocol (GAP), a human-centered framework concerned with preserving Meaningful Human Agency and human cognitive, agentic, and normative sovereignty during sustained Human–AI interaction. It argues for Human Alignment as a governing orientation for AI development and introduces several GAP concepts relevant to the consultation, including the GAP Trichotomy, Human Sovereignty, Triune Interpretability, HAI Longitudinalism, HAI Longitudinal Human Exigency, and the AI Trolley Scenario.
