Counts differ because each database indexes a different set of publications. We treat OpenAlex as the canonical count; Google Scholar is not shown (no API, and crawling it violates its ToS).
Attendance record management in upper secondary educational institutions is conventionally conducted through paper-based forms, which adversely affects information management efficiency. At the "Miguel Hidalgo" Official High School, this process presents significant challenges: it consumes instructional time and creates barriers to effective communication with student guardians. To address this necessity, we propose an access control system integrated with optical reader technology and SMS notifications. This article describes the implementation of User-Centered Design (UCD) methodology aligned with ISO 9241-210 standards to design and validate interactive prototypes in Figma, a preliminary phase prior to system coding. To comprehend the institutional context, surveys were administered to administrative personnel, management, and discipline staff. The collected data underwent quantitative and qualitative analysis, which enabled the construction of user personas and the specification of functional requirements. Low and high-fidelity prototypes were developed in Figma and validated collaboratively with institutional leadership through usability evaluation. Consequently, the resulting interfaces demonstrate modularity and intuitive design that reflect the systematic implementation of the UCD methodology.
