Counts differ because each database indexes a different set of publications. We treat OpenAlex as the canonical count; Google Scholar is not shown (no API, and crawling it violates its ToS).
Preprint of “Before It Acts: A Scoping Review of Preview and Approval in Agentic AI Interfaces.” This scoping review examines how agentic AI interfaces present proposed actions to users and obtain approval before those actions are executed. The review maps existing research on preview, confirmation, approval, and user control mechanisms in agentic and tool-using AI systems, with particular attention to how interfaces communicate proposed actions, consequences, uncertainty, and opportunities for human intervention. The manuscript is currently under peer review at the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction (Taylor & Francis). This record contains the preprint manuscript. The accompanying review protocol, search log, screening log, extraction materials, and PRISMA-ScR checklist are available in a separate Zenodo record.
