Counts differ because each database indexes a different set of publications. We treat OpenAlex as the canonical count; Google Scholar is not shown (no API, and crawling it violates its ToS).
Most constructed languages (conlangs) are specified informally; their grammars accumulate exceptions, their dictionaries drift, and no test can determine whether a sentence belongs to the language. This paper presents Lingua PSA, a constructed language designed from the outset to be machine-verifiable. Its architecture combines a typologically conservative phonology comprising 21 phonemes, strictly alternating (C)V syllables, and penultimate stress; a bijective ASCII orthography; a zero-inflection isolating grammar with a ten-suffix agglutinative derivation mechanism; and a fixed, head-initial syntax formally expressed in Extended Backus-Naur Form (EBNF). Every rule is decidable and implemented in an executable validator. The current lexical registry contains 356 lexical items from which 1,936 words can be derived. In the current test suite, all 72 positive test sentences are successfully parsed, all 48 malformed sentences are rejected, and the registry passes phonotactic, lexical uniqueness, voicing, derivation, and grammar-registry synchronization checks with zero errors. The paper is self-contained as a learning resource and provides English glosses throughout. Appendices B and C present the closed grammatical classes and essential survival phrases, respectively; Appendix D reproduces the complete lexical registry; Appendix E lists the entire computationally derivable vocabulary; Appendix F provides the annotated sentence test suite; and Appendix G reproduces the complete normative grammar. This work aims to bridge the gap between language design and formal language specification. Finally, it proposes a governance model based on semantic versioning and a formal admission gate to preserve linguistic consistency, computational verifiability, and structural rigor as Lingua PSA evolves. Founding Pledge Future generations shall strive to improve the orthography, morphology, and practical use of Lingua PSA. No rule, convention, or founding decision shall be immune to critical examination. Intellectual rigidity and the rejection of reasoned revision are the true obstacles to the language's improvement and refinement. Lingua PSA shall remain open to evidence-based proposals, systematic evaluation, and carefully governed evolution, preserving its structural integrity while adapting to the needs of its speakers.
