The city of Medan provides various important public services for its residents, such as police stations, civil registration records, Samsat (vehicle registration and tax office), and the fire department (Damkar); however, information related to these services remains scattered across various unintegrated sources, making it difficult for the public to access accurate information quickly. This condition highlights the need for a mobile application capable of presenting public service information for the city of Medan in a centralized, user-friendly manner that aligns with user needs. This study aims to design the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) of the mobile-based Medan Kita application by applying the User Centered Design (UCD) method, an approach that places user needs, characteristics, and preferences at the center of every stage of development. The research process follows several UCD stages, including analyzing the context of use, defining user requirements, developing design solutions in the form of wireframes and prototypes, and evaluating the design with users to ensure it aligns with their needs. The results of this study consist of a design for the Medan Kita application that presents public service information for the city of Medan covering police stations, civil registration records, Samsat, and the fire department (Damkar) through a communicative user interface (UI) prototype and an intuitive, easy-to-understand user experience (UX). Through the application of the UCD method, the resulting design is expected to improve the accessibility of information, convenience, and public satisfaction in accessing public services in the city of Medan.
