Counts differ because each database indexes a different set of publications. We treat OpenAlex as the canonical count; Google Scholar is not shown (no API, and crawling it violates its ToS).
This article develops a multilevel model of human–AI relations that connects individual interaction episodes with stable relationship modes and long-term trajectories of change. The framework distinguishes three configurations of intellectual leadership—human-led, co-led, and AI-led—and introduces the concepts of transition, retention, relationship mode, and leadership reversibility. Special attention is given to the tandem mode as a reproducible form of adaptive redistribution of intellectual leadership that preserves human capability, active cognitive engagement, and the human semantic and normative center. The article also examines the role of technological, organizational, and institutional environments in shaping human–AI relationship dynamics.
