Abstract

AI Coding Agents: The Transformation of Software Development with Agentic AI explores how Generative AI is evolving from traditional code-completion assistants into autonomous, task-oriented coding agents. The whitepaper examines how AI agents can understand software requirements, analyze codebases, plan solutions, generate and modify code, execute tests, identify and fix errors, and assist across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). It also discusses the benefits, limitations, security risks, human–AI collaboration, multi-agent development, governance, and the future of AI-driven software engineering.
