Public evidence under Article 50: a historical snapshot of twelve consumer AI products

Counts differ because each database indexes a different set of publications. We treat OpenAlex as the canonical count; Google Scholar is not shown (no API, and crawling it violates its ToS).

Historical public-evidence snapshot under the EU AI Act transparency clauses, corrected through a retrospective source audit. The original coded values are preserved. Product attribution, modality coverage, disclosure interpretation, capture provenance and visibility retain explicit limits; no cell assesses compliance. This correction narrows reproduction and prior-work claims, identifies unresolved cells and includes repaired frozen-data checkers, source-support locators, selected sanitised extracts, legal primaries and a prospective repeat-collection protocol. It is not a fresh product survey or an accepted rescore. Private browser captures are excluded, so not every account-state judgement can be independently reconstructed from the public files. AI assistance: historical Anthropic assistance, retrospective OpenAI GPT-6 assistance, and separate bounded Gemini advice. These providers are represented in the scored set. No performance baseline was run.
