Programmatic AI: A Paradigm for Interpretable, Transferable Machine Intelligence

In this work, the authors in brief introduce the novel paradigm of 'Programmatic AI', to address the shortcomings of modern ML techniques, primarily those of deep learning; the dominant paradigm at time of writing. The primary issues of focus within the technical note observed are issues within deeplearning pertaining to those of generalization, overtuning to particular features, cost in training such systems, as well the lack of verifiability and interpretability of them.
