Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transitioning from a technology primarily used for prediction, recommendation, and content generation toward systems capable of reasoning, using external tools, executing multi-step workflows, and interacting with the physical environment. Recent developments in foundation models, multimodal AI, reasoning models, AI agents, robotics, specialized AI infrastructure, and on-device inference indicate that the role of AI within corporations is likely to expand substantially during the next decade. This thesis investigates the potential impact of AI/ML technology on corporate sectors by 2035 using current technological developments and evidence published by organizations including OpenAI, Google DeepMind, NVIDIA, Anthropic, the International Labour Organization (ILO), OECD, and NIST. Current enterprise evidence already indicates a transition from experimental AI usage toward workflow integration. OpenAI reports substantial increases in enterprise usage and reasoning workloads, while Anthropic and other technology companies are developing systems capable of autonomous multi-step task execution. The research examines five major technological trajectories: advanced reasoning, agentic AI, multimodal and embodied AI, AI infrastructure, and AI governance/security. Their potential effects are analyzed across information technology, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, retail, telecommunications, professional services, and human resources. The thesis argues that the most significant corporate transformation by 2035 is unlikely to be simply the replacement of human employees with AI. Instead, the more plausible transformation is the restructuring of work itself: AI systems will increasingly perform routine cognitive tasks, coordinate workflows, generate and analyze information, operate software systems, and potentially control physical machines. Consequently, organizations are likely to shift toward human-AI collaboration, smaller highly skilled teams, AI-supervised operations, continuous reskilling, and stronger governance mechanisms.
