Developing a Qualitative Framework for Structured AI Integration in Higher Education This study introduces a qualitative framework that helps universities examine how higher education leadership addresses the strategic and ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence integration. The analysis draws on institutional documents from eight universities and identifies four leadership‑centered dimensions: Institutional Direction, Ethical Responsibility, Institutional Capacity, and Policy Consistency. “Higher education institutions need a consistent way to examine how leadership addresses the strategic and ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence integration.” The framework provides a structured way to evaluate how institutional leaders communicate expectations, establish responsibilities, and align AI strategies with academic integrity, fairness, transparency, and responsible use.
