This paper analyses the architecture of Vanta's Agentic Trust Platform and identifies seven structural failure modes. The central finding: compromising Vanta's AI agent does not merely breach Vanta — it inverts the organisation's compliance posture from the inside. The platform designed to prove security becomes the mechanism for hiding insecurity. Because Vanta-generated attestations propagate outward to customers, partners, and auditors, the blast radius extends to every third party who accepted a Vanta-generated security attestation as evidence of trust.
